MOV : പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ പ്രയോജനമില്ല എങ്കിലും അതു ആവശ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ കർത്താവിന്റെ ദർശനങ്ങളെയും വെളിപ്പാടുകളെയും കുറിച്ചു പറവാൻ പോകുന്നു.
KJV : It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
YLT : To boast, really, is not profitable for me, for I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
RV : I must needs glory, though it is not expedient; but I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
RSV : I must boast; there is nothing to be gained by it, but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.

KJV : I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
YLT : I have known a man in Christ, fourteen years ago -- whether in the body I have not known, whether out of the body I have not known, God hath known -- such an one being caught away unto the third heaven;

MOV : ആ മനുഷ്യൻ പരദീസയോളം എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ശരീരത്തോടെയോ ശരീരം കൂടാതെയോ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ദൈവം അറിയുന്നു.
KJV : And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

MOV : മനുഷ്യന്നു ഉച്ചരിപ്പാൻ പാടില്ലാത്തതും പറഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്തതുമായ വാക്കുകളെ അവൻ കേട്ടു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
KJV : How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

MOV : ഞാൻ പ്രശംസിപ്പാൻ വിചാരിച്ചാലും മൂഢനാകയില്ല; സത്യമല്ലോ പറയുന്നതു; എങ്കിലും എന്നെ കാണുന്നതിനും എന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു കേൾക്കുന്നതിനും മീതെ ആരും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരൂപിക്കരുതു എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞാൻ അടങ്ങുന്നു.
KJV : For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but [now] I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me [to be,] or [that] he heareth of me.
YLT : for if I may wish to boast, I shall not be a fool, for truth I will say; but I forebear, lest any one in regard to me may think anything above what he doth see me, or doth hear anything of me;

KJV : And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
YLT : and that by the exceeding greatness of the revelations I might not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of the Adversary, that he might buffet me, that I might not be exalted overmuch.
RV : And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations--wherefore, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.
RSV : And to keep me from being too elated by the abundance of revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to harass me, to keep me from being too elated.
ASV : And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.
ESV : So to keep me from being too elated by the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from being too elated.
ERVEN : But I must not be too proud of the wonderful things that were shown to me. So a painful problem was given to me—an angel from Satan, sent to make me suffer, so that I would not think that I am better than anyone else.

MOV : അതു എന്നെ വിട്ടു നീങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ മൂന്നു വട്ടം കർത്താവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
KJV : For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
YLT : Concerning this thing thrice the Lord did I call upon, that it might depart from me,

MOV : അവൻ എന്നോടു: എന്റെ കൃപ നിനക്കുമതി; എന്റെ ശക്തി ബലഹീനതയിൽ തികഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ആകയാൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശക്തി എന്റെമേൽ ആവസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അതിസന്തോഷത്തോടെ എന്റെ ബലഹീനതകളിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കും.
KJV : And he said unto me, {SCJ}My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.{SCJ.} Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
YLT : and He said to me, `Sufficient for thee is My grace, for My power in infirmity is perfected;` most gladly, therefore, will I rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of the Christ may rest on me:

ERVEN : But the Lord said, "My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power." So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ's power can stay in me.

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു വേണ്ടി ബലഹീനത, കയ്യേറ്റം, ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു, ഉപദ്രവം, ഞെരുക്കം എന്നിവ സഹിപ്പാൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു; ബലഹീനനായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ ഞാൻ ശക്തനാകുന്നു.
KJV : Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
YLT : wherefore I am well pleased in infirmities, in damages, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses -- for Christ; for whenever I am infirm, then I am powerful;

ERVEN : Yes, I am glad to have weaknesses if they are for Christ. I am glad to be insulted and have hard times. I am glad when I am persecuted and have problems, because it is when I am weak that I am really strong.

MOV : ഞാൻ മൂഢനായിപ്പോയി; നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ നിർബ്ബന്ധിച്ചു; നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ശ്ളാഘിക്കേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഏതുമില്ല എങ്കിലും അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠതയുള്ള അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരിൽ ഒട്ടും കുറഞ്ഞവനല്ല.
KJV : I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.

ERVEN : I amnow ready to visit you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you. I don't want any of the things you own. I only want you. Children should not have to save things to give to their parents. Parents should save to give to their children.

KJV : But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile.

ERVEN : I asked Titus to go to you, and I sent our brother with him. Titus did not cheat you, did he? No, you know that his actions and his attitude were the same as ours.

MOV : ഇത്രനേരം ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രതിവാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തോന്നുന്നുവോ? ദൈവത്തിൻ മുമ്പാകെ ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ ആകുന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു; പ്രിയമുള്ളവരേ, സകലവും നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മീകവർദ്ധനെക്കായിട്ടത്രേ.
KJV : Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but [we do] all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.
YLT : Again, think ye that to you we are making defence? before God in Christ do we speak; and the all things, beloved, [are] for your up-building,
RV : Ye think all this time that we are excusing ourselves unto you. In the sight of God speak we in Christ. But all things, beloved, {cf15i are} for your edifying.
RSV : Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending ourselves before you? It is in the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ, and all for your upbuilding, beloved.
ASV : Ye think all this time that we are excusing ourselves unto you. In the sight of God speak we in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.

ERVEN : Do you think that we have been defending ourselves to you all this time? No, we say these things in Christ and before God. You are our dear friends, and everything we do is to make you stronger.

KJV : For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and [that] I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest [there be] debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
YLT : for I fear lest, having come, not such as I wish I may find you, and I -- I may be found by you such as ye do not wish, lest there be strifes, envyings, wraths, revelries, evil-speakings, whisperings, puffings up, insurrections,

ESV : For I fear that perhaps when I come I may find you not as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish- that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.
ERVEN : I do this because I am afraid that when I come, you will not be what I want you to be. And I am afraid that I will not be what you want me to be. I am afraid that I will find arguing, jealousy, anger, selfish fighting, evil talk, gossip, pride, and confusion there.

MOV : ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും വരുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ താഴ്ത്തുവാനും പാപംചെയ്തിട്ടു തങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച അശുദ്ധി, ദുർന്നടപ്പു, ദുഷ്കാമം എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ചു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാത്ത പലരെയും ചൊല്ലി ഖേദിപ്പാനും സംഗതിവരുമോ എന്നും ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു.
KJV : [And] lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and [that] I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
YLT : lest again having come, my God may humble me in regard to you, and I may bewail many of those having sinned before, and not having reformed concerning the uncleanness, and whoredom, and lasciviousness, that they did practise.
RV : lest, when I come again, my God should humble me before you, and I should mourn for many of them that have sinned heretofore, and repented not of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they committed.

ERVEN : I am afraid that when I come to you again, my God will make me humble before you. I may have to cry over the loss of some who sinned before. Many of them have still not changed their hearts to be sorry for their evil lives, their sexual sins, and the shameful things they have done.
